Just 2 weeks to go to our 1st PL campaign in 23 years.
It was clear the day after that wonderful , brilliant, ecstatic, nerve wrenching day out @wembley that a complete overhaul of the playing squad was needed to give us even a fighting chance of retaining our stay last 1 season.
Cooper, Dane & the Big Man obviously had a plan and by & large, things are coming together very nicely. With hopefully the Mangala deal to be completed over the next 24-48hrs,, this gives a definite squad of close to 25 players.
Henderson, Hennessey, Smith
Worrall, Niakhate, McKenna, Cook, Soh, Williams, Toffolo, Richards, Biancone
Yates, Colback, O'Brien,, Mangala, Cafu, Lingard
Awoniyi, Johnson, Surridge, Mighton.
Add possibly Garner + David + another striker/ winger( maybe Cornet) the Big question now is..........
Does the above list give us a real chance of keeping well clear of the bottom 3 with some to spare?
Also, how many of the above count as "homegrown" or don't have to be included officially in the 25, thereby freeing up 1 or 2 more spaces for signings?
The one definite this season is we may not have as many highs as last season, BUT it's still gonna be one helluva ride so STRAP ourselves in boys & girls and let the games begin
