Maybe a little soon, but there’s not much of a pre season and with 5 loanees returning to their parent clubs we’ll have to get a move on.
First off we need to convince BJ and JW to stay.

The PL is less physical than the Championship so hopefully it’ll suit our style. EM has promised to back SC and we’re already being linked with decent players. If we can sign most of our loanees then we won’t need that many. The good news is that players WANT to join us.

Hopefully, Spence, Garner, Davis & Zink want to stay. Spence & David circa £25-30m, rumoured Zink may only be about £2m. Best we could hope for on Garner is another full season loan. Toffulo LWB from Huddersfield would be a good option, Gibbs-White from Blades. For some much needed PL experience, long shot, try to tempt Errickson, he's a freebie, don't ask, don't get??

Maybe a little soon, but there’s not much of a pre season and with 5 loanees returning to their parent clubs we’ll have to get a move on. First off we need to convince BJ and JW to stay. I am fairly sure Johnson and Worrall will stay now we're back in the PL given their affinity with the club and that they are still young. In terms of the loanees, apparently Spurs and Arsenal are in for Spence, hopefully the fact that he seems settled in Nottingham and at the club, plus guaranteed regular game time will be enough to persuade him to sign for us. Garner will depend on Ten Haag's assessment of him but I think there is a possibility that he might want him to get more experience on loan but in the PL, given his experience at Forest that might persuade him to stay. I like Lowe, Davies and Zinckernagel but feel there are alternative options if we aren't able to sign them permanently. I might be being a bit harsh on Davies with that comment. According to Paul Taylor wrting in the Athletic we are being linked with Gibbs-White, who I think would be a great signing. Hopefully he had a good relationship with Cooper when they were at Swansea. Other players mentioned in the article are Joe Rothwell who is a free agent awhen his contract expires at Blackburn this summer. Jed Wallace and Josh Bowler as also mentioned but would have been greater targets if we hadn't been promoted. One interesting name mentioned is Jamaal Lascelles, along with Tom Holmes from Reading as possible replacements for Figueiredo, personally I would rather see Panzo and Mbe Soh given more opportunity. It also mentions that Forest have been linked with an interest in Buchanan and Lawrence from Derby. One thing I do know is that with Dane Murphy at the helm we seemed to be a lot better organised on the transfer front. Paul Taylor mentions that Forest drew up two transfer target lists several months ago, one for if we were promoted to the PL and the other for if we'd still be in the Championship. I think we're in for an exciting summer and with a combination of Marinakis's financial backing, Murphy's leadership and Cooper's great management I am confident that we will be able to hold our own next season!!

We may not see much happening for a couple of weeks as I think most contracts traditionally end on June 30th and some players and managers may be on vacation. Having said that, it’s not long until 6th August.
Looking forward, due to the timing of the World Cup, the January window could be more significant.

Why a new goalie? (If true!) What is wrong with Samba? (And someone like Pope would not want to "play second fiddle" to anyone)
And, I think they (the Press) can forget Brereton, too!

As expected, we’re being linked with everyone and his dog, which is probably the work of agents trying to force an auction and less to do with actual facts.
Things should really hot up next week when the window officially opens. As far as Forest are concerned I’d expect the unexpected.

By the time the Window does open, IF we sign just half the players we're rumoured to be interested in, we'll have a Squad of about 65 players come opening day of the season😃😃😃😃
