The administrators have stated Ashley hasn’t made an offer.

Appears derby are to be taken over by American billionaire for around £50million which includes pride park and covers all debts. Seems that the efl will be beginning the assessment for fit and proper ownership imminently and that once approved derby could potentially have millions to spend in January.
As I said before, they will likely get away with all this and stay up. Not sure what happened to the other points penalties but they should surely have been applied by now if they were going to happen. Must be the best way out of administration in football history. No player sales, appealing the points deductions, 25p in the pound and straight into signing players in the very next transfer window 3 months after entering administration.
Curious how the stadium they sold themselves for £80 million is now being sold to the new owners along with the club for £50million. They’ve cheated the system and won

But, I thought going into administration itself gave you a 2 year ban from signing players etc?

Easiest admin of all time. Billionaire taking over the club and they get away with paying 25p in the pound. I really wish they’d gone out of business

He has himself confirmed via twitter that he is not a billionaire. His company is new and revenues were $4.2M last year so his funding must be coming in from a source that is not from his own company nor personal. Possibly a loan(s) on future revenues? Possibly other rich backers in a consortium? This could be another Alonso affair, egotism at it's best. If this is the case, we will see this bid collapse as others have done. However, seems the administrators and EFL are content so perhaps it has legs. If they come out of this with a rich owner and survive relegation, it stinks.

He does seem quite egotistical to have already written an open letter to supporters before he’s even at the efl clearance step. He did state that it was individual funds and not a consortium so I’m not sure where his financing is coming from. Seen he has links to Goldman Sachs and also to the one direction twerp who is a derby fan so maybe they’re helping him out. I can definitely see them surviving relegation mores the pity

His tweet “Nottingham Forest suck” isn’t very professional. Along with his open letter to fans it smacks of another Fawaz.
We can hope.

Their administrators were on talksport this morning and think they will be out of admin by the first week of January, with possible further suspended points penalties and that their are 2/3 other parties still very interested in taking on the club.
They will get away with it all and come out laughing

This has nothing to do with rivalry, it's just happens to be the sheep down the A5-2 BUT!!! Serious questions need to be asked of the efl 1. IF the sanctions for going into Admin are a 2 year transfer embargo, how can they be allowed to get players in for free & huge wages in January 2. Have Derby submitted their "true" Accounts yet for the 3 years that were missing? IF not, why not & IF not, why haven't they been given the additional -9pts yet? 3. IF they have submitted the "true" Accounts & they were massively over the allowed limits, why haven't they yet received further sanctions as per all the other clubs before them? IF mad mel sold pride park for an £80m injection of cash where did all that money go get still went into Administration?
I do really hope that numerous clubs are watching this very carefully & threaten to sue the efl for MILLIONS of lost revenue they incurred at the time to Jimmy up them up to fully sanction Derby for ALL their misdemeanors.

Wycombe currently have their lawyers suing for £6million of lost earnings based on the fact Derby should have been deducted the points last year. Cant see how that wins currently though as the only points derby have been deducted are for administration (which they're appealing) so until such a time as any FFP points get deducted I cant see how Wycombe can win

from John Percy via Twitter last evening; Derby's administrators set to reluctantly accept a total points deduction of 21, plus a further suspended 3. Talks ongoing over business plan but announcement expected soon. Huge blow for Wayne Rooney but closure for club ahead of a potential sale.
They still have to submit re-stated accounts yet so they are very likely to be hit with further points deductions, albeit, next season in league 1. I'm not laughing here....

if anyone's having a bad day, a look at the championship table might cheer you up.
DISCLAIMER: not advisable for Derby fans

It took a long time for the BBC to make it official. Thank god that John Percy let us know well in advance. I have had a case of beer in the fridge waiting to have a party. God bless Mad Mel.... His outstanding work is now complete. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59288687
