CEO had a meeting with senior players yesterday who had been told their outstanding 50% of December wages would be paid with their January wages on Jan 15th (tomorrow). Players and staff were told they don't even have the money to pay the 50% from Decembers let alone January as well!
Knight and sibley heavily linked with Leeds.

Suggestions that hasty contingency plans are being made for the collapse of the takeover. There are evidently some major problems with this, not least the amount of debt including monies owed to season ticket holders. It seems the future looks bleak, admin and points deduction looming.
The Rooney appointment is a money saving exercise as it serves to get him off the playing staff reducing the wage bill. His "Coaching" costs are allegedly met by a Club sponsor.

Not a fan of Keogh, but the way he was treated by Direby considering they put player valuations before anything else concerning the other 2 was a disgrace. I hope if they try to pay him in instalments " due to our financial position" he tells them to do one & pay up. Have read they were looking to try and get another loan payment from Company that bailed them out last year with an injection of cash. Administration looms large, especially as they also need the £500k loan fee from Man City for gk Scott Carson to help pay wages.

In all honesty boys, would you really want them to go bust and disappear off the face of the earth?
No more Forest v The Sheep, no more enjoying their defeats, no more enjoying the stupid things they do and say etc etc.
Or do you genuinely hate them so much that the pleasure from seeing them go into administration outweighs all other? 🤣

But administration and a year or 2 in league one won’t hurt them. Especially if paying off their disgraced ex captain helps put them there

Here it is……
An independent Disciplinary Commission has delivered its verdict on sanctions for Derby County relating to ongoing disciplinary proceedings.
In May, an Independent League Arbitration Panel ruled that the Disciplinary Commission was wrong to dismiss the League’s expert accountancy evidence, which demonstrated that the Club’s policy regarding the amortisation of player registrations was contrary to standard accounting rules.
More specifically, the panel determined that the Club’s policy was not in accordance with accounting standard FRS102 because it failed to accurately reflect the manner in which the Club takes the benefit of player registrations over the lifetime of a player’s contract.
Tonight, the Disciplinary Commission has announced that the sanction to be imposed in respect of those breaches, is a financial penalty of £100,000 to be paid to the EFL and a reprimand for the Club as to its future conduct regarding the preparation of its Annual Accounts.
In addition, the Club has also been ordered to file restated accounts for financial years ending 30 June 2016, 2017 and 2018 that meet the requirements of FRS102, together with updated Profit & Sustainability calculations if necessary.
Both Derby County and the EFL have the right to appeal that sanction decision.
That being the case, ahead of the publication of the 2021/22 season fixture lists on 24 June at 9am, the EFL can confirm that it has developed an interchangeable fixture list for Derby County and Wycombe Wanderers, while the disciplinary process is finalised.
The fixture list for both the Championship and League One will be published in full based on the 2020/21 final standings, pending any appeals relating to this decision.

I have to be honest and admit I don’t really understand this. I see a 100k fine and reprimand, but then they seem to be saying they are publishing two fixture lists, one without Wycombe and one without Direby. I presume this relates to possible sanctions coming out of the new financial reports Direby have been told to produce for 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Based on what you have shared, it reads to me as if they have been fined for submitting accounts that have not been produced in accordance with accounting standards. They are now required to submit updated accounts produced using the correct accounting standards. If these accounts show that losses exceed those permitted by Financial Fair Play then they will face further sanctions, potentially including a points deduction resulting in relegation.

Derby County haven’t even got an away kit sorted as yet, as they ask Notts County if they can wear theirs in their friendly tomorrow 😂
This comes from the official Notts Twitter account.

They are so deep in doggy doo, its untrue. However, one local reporter stated at the beginning of last week that a takeover was at the table and close (but is choosing to be secretive due to the 2 previous well publicised abortive attempts), the EFL are about to bend over and sanction signings, albeit freebies/loans which I think they now can but only at £4,500 per week and despite his antics, all is well in the WorldOfWayneRooney. Also, they have sufficient cash to pay players and bills until such time a takeover happens.
However, they are yet to submit their (allegedely) crooked books to the EFL and pay a huge HMRC bill. Both may bring about further sanctions (here's hoping) but the sheepies think they'll come out smelling of roses. Not this time, the EFL are determined to hit them hard. I love seeing it, a local real soap opera....it takes away the pain of trying to work out what's happening with our lot.

Got this from a Direby fan on Twitter……
Mel Morris has met with a select group of Derby fans tonight. Basically said no takeover, no transfers in or out and he’s disappointed we’ve not used academy players. The man has lot the plot. Our team is made of academy players!!
