I have seen that and it is because of a tweet by Nixon. Have also seen that it has been refuted by a member on another site, but don't know how reliable either of them are. I advocated signing him in Jan but Charlton wanted too much money for someone in the last 6 months of his contract. Him and Colback would be decent on frees if wages are reasonable.
With his attitude to dropping his Club AND Teammates in the mire on the restart, sorry but it's a NO from me, no matter how good a striker he is. What's to say he gets a 3 year deal @forest then proceeds to do a Van Hoojdonk with 6 months left?
Agree his goals helped them gain promotion to the championship ( just like PVH to Pl) But like any other player, they risk a serious injury every time they take the field. How many players have had an injury since the restart that will keep them out for months? At a guess, less than 5 out of approx 1100 players based on 25 Jan squads in the Top 2 divisions. He was supposed to have a "top" deal sorted & didn't want to risk getting injured, now it seems he's playing one club against another AND another AND another to secure said "top" deal. He is quite content to swagger off into the sunset with ££££££ in his pocket whilst watching teammates struggle to put points on the board to keep their own weekly wages intact. It's not all about ability when signing players, their attitude & character plays a big part in team harmony, something that Sabri has instilled brilliantly this season. We may in the end succeed in signing him & I hope he bangs in the goals if he does sign.i BuT I won't be jumping up & down with excitement too much too early

I didn’t want him in January and I still don’t. He’ll be 31 soon. Hardly the sort of prospect to push us on to the next level. He’s not better than grabban and grabban has proven he isn’t good enough for the prem on countless occasions. Need to be looking for better and ideally younger options
To be fair, he never actually refused to play. Like many players his contract expired on June 30th and the EFL authorized extensions to cover the extended season. LT discussed it with his manager and indicated he didn’t want to risk injury whilst in the market for a new club. His manager accepted this. However I believe LT had a change of heart.
It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don't say it.
